Update: JPD has identified the victim in this morning’s fatal accident as 19-year-old, Jamari Bryant.

The Jackson Police Department is investigating a fatal car crash that occurred early Wednesday morning on Northside Dr. near Livingston Road.
According to the JPD, a silver sedan was seen traveling eastbound at high speeds while weaving through traffic. The vehicle eventually flipped and crashed into a utility pole.
The male driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, and his condition is currently unknown.
A male passenger in the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of each of the men have not been released at this time.
The JPD is seeking to determine if any additional factors led to the crash.
