Following his recent hospitalization due to an unspecified ailment, famous yacht rocker Jimmy Buffett is set to be released on Saturday.
The “Margaritaville” singer and Mississippi native made the announcement on his Facebook Friday night.
“Thank you for the outpouring of support and well wishes,” Buffett wrote. “I head home tomorrow for a while, and then will go for a fishing trip with old friends, along with paddling and sailing and get myself back in good shape. Once I am in shape, we will look at the when’s and where’s of shows.”
Buffett, 76, was supposed to take his band’s “Second Wind 2023” tour to Charleston, S.C. this weekend when he was hospitalized in Boston after a check-up. It’s the latest hospital stint for the CMA Award winner after being checked in last September “due to health issues,” forcing him to cancel the remainder of last year’s shows.
Parrotheads shouldn’t fear, though, as Buffett promises to get back on the stage soon.
“I think playing is as therapeutic for me as it is for fans to listen and sing along. Looking forward to announcing a new date for Charleston as well as some new shows! Fins up!”
