Mississippi native and famous yacht rocker Jimmy Buffett has been hospitalized for an unspecified ailment.
The “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise” singer posted the news on Facebook, alongside an announcement that he would be canceling his upcoming show in Charleston, S.C.
“I had a sudden change of plans this week that affected us all,” Buffett wrote. “Two days ago, I was just back from a trip to the Bahama, thawing out from the California ‘winter tour,’ and chomping at the bit to get to Charleston. I had to stop in Boston for a check-up but wound back up in the hospital to address some issues that needed some immediate attention. Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you.”

Buffett, 76, and The Coral Reefer Band had been traveling on their “Second Wind 2023” tour when the frontman’s latest stint in the hospital came about. The CMA Award winner was previously hospitalized in September “due to health issues” and forced to cancel the remainder of last year’s shows.
Nevertheless, Buffett is assuring Parrotheads that he will be back on the stage soon, promising a rescheduled date for Charleston.
