Jefferson County man locked up for allegedly shooting cousin

A man is in custody for allegedly shooting his cousin in Jefferson County.

Authorities report that the incident took place Tuesday morning in the McNair community. Upon arrival at the scene, Jefferson County deputies found 20-year-old LaJhavian Clark suffering a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Deputies located Clark’s cousin, 26-year-old Ezekial King, and handcuffed him for the shooting. King is charged with aggravated assault and is being held in the custody of law enforcement until his initial court appearance.

No additional details have been provided on Clark’s current condition at this time.
