JACKSON, Miss.–The Jackson Zoo is up for accreditation again and they’re asking for your help.
The zoo is the only AZA accredited one in the entire state and they’re asking the public to write letters in support of the zoo for their upcoming hearing.
“Our accreditation is coming up this weekend,” said spokesman Angela Shepard.
Shepard said that anyone can write a simple email to Beth Poff who is the executive director at the zoo and those will be included in the packet submitted on September 8.
“Showing how you’re supporting the zoo or that you’d like to see it stay in Jackson, “she said.
