A woman is facing charges for allegedly shooting and killing her boyfriend in Mississippi’s capital city.
The Jackson Police Department reports that 49-year-old Allison Ballard was initially taken into custody for domestic aggravated assault for shooting her significant other, whose name has not been released by officers at this time, on Friday.
The shooting left the victim with life-threatening injuries that he later succumbed to while at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, which promptly brought authorities to elevate Ballard’s charges to murder.
