JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson roads are among the worst in the nation. That’s according to a study done by the non-profit transportation group TRIP.
The report shows that Jackson ranks 9th out of 25, when it comes to mid-sized urban cities with the poorest roads. In fact, the study revealed that the roads in the capital city are costing each of its citizens $818 a year, in addition vehicle maintenance.
The study found that 44 percent of major Jackson roads are in poor condition.
