JACKSON, Miss. – Saltine has been named one of the best new restaurants in the country.
Bone Appetit magazine listed the oyster restaurant in its top 50 new restaurants in America.
The restaurant is located in the Fondren District of Jackson and Chef Jesse Houston says, it’s an honor just be mentioned in the same category as some of these restaurants.
Andrew Knowles, who put the list together, is the editor of Bon Appetit and is known for traveling across the country to find the absolute best.
If you want something special, tomorrow
is national oyster day and Chef Houston say’s they’ll be serving $9 oysters from New Zealand.
