BYRAM, Miss. – A Jackson Police officer is facing a domestic violence misdemeanor charge after investigators said she got into a fight with her live-in girlfriend.
Byram police, responding to a disturbance call Friday, said they could see both Shalethea Allen, 28, and her girlfriend had bruises and scratches. It was determined that the two had been hitting each other. The women were living together and because they’re a couple, the charges are considered domestic violence.
