Jackson police have identified the victim of a fatal beating at a local hotel and the alleged culprit behind the killing is wanted by law enforcement.
Police responded to the 500 block of E. Beasley Road, where the OYO Townhouse is located, on Tuesday to investigate an apparent homicide that took place. Authorities discovered that a female, later identified as 21-year-old Jessenia Cruz, had been assaulted at the hotel. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
Authorities have identified the suspect accused of taking Cruz’s life as 24-year-old Joshua Malik Boothe. He is currently wanted for murder.
