The Jackson man accused of stabbing his paralyzed father will spend 25 years in prison.
Kristopher BoClair on Tuesday pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the inhumane acts of violence against his bedridden father, Kenneth BoClair. The fatal stabbing incident is reported to have occurred on Riser Street on November 30, 2022.

Law enforcement officials were made aware of the crime when Kristopher’s mother notified authorities that her son had confessed to killing his father. When police arrived at the Jackson home, Kenneth was discovered dead with knives lodged into his neck and eye.
The suspect later turned himself in at the Byram Police Department and was handcuffed.
Through a plea agreement, Kristopher BoClair had a 40-year sentence whittled down to 25 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Following his stint behind bars, he will spend three years of post-release supervision.
