JACKSON, Miss. – A toddler killed, a father charged with murder.
Emergency responders found the boy unconscious and took him immediately to a Jackson area hospital. He died shortly thereafter.
Derrick Hoard, 32, has now been charged with capital murder.
Police say the boy had visible signs of blunt force trauma. An autopsy has been ordered.
