As customers across Mississippi report issues with their Regions Bank cards declining at various stores, officials have confirmed a system outage and are working to resolve the issue.
Ashley Foster, media relations senior business partner at Regions, issued the following statement to SuperTalk Mississippi News:
“Our technology team is working closely with Visa to resolve the issue. Please know, we deeply apologize for any customer inconvenience and are committed to resolving this matter as quickly as possible. We will provide updates via our call center and social media response as triage continues.”
Regions, headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., is one of the largest deposit holders in Mississippi with 126 locations.
