An investigation is underway after hunters stumbled across human remains in Carroll County on Saturday.
According to a press release, deputies with the local sheriff’s department were dispatched to a rural part of the county in response to a call from the hunters. Upon arriving, the coroner confirmed the remains were human.
The Caroll County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and others are working together to identify the remains. The exact location of where the remains were found has not been disclosed.
