An investigation has been launched after a Mississippi inmate was found dead in their cell.
Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards told WTVA that Kenneth Bennett, 36, died of an apparent suicide. Bennett, of Blue Springs, was found unresponsive at the Union County Jail around 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Bennett was being held on charges of commercial burglary and grand larceny.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has now taken over the case.
