A 39-year-old inmate has died in a Mississippi prison.
Officials with the Vermont Department of Corrections say Christopher Chase was found hanging in his cell on Monday at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility which is owned and operated by CoreCivic.
Chase was serving 20 years to life for the murder of his girlfriend. An investigation is underway, but officials say it appears his death was a suicide.
