OXFORD, Miss.- If you have a strong opinion, and a passion for the University of Mississippi, the State College Board is reaching out to you. They are looking for nominations for members of the Campus Search Advisory Committee for the University of Mississippi. This committee will be the one involved with the selection of a new chancellor, after the resignation of Dan Jones earlier this year.
The board is saying that representatives ranging from students, to alumni, to faculty and staff are all wanted on the committee.
They also say that committee members will have to attend in-person meetings, participate in conference calls, and review materials through a secure website, some of which will begin before fall classes start.
The deadline to apply is May 27th.
Nominations can be sent via an online form at http://www.mississippi.edu/ieo/um_constituency_form.asp.
