HOOVER, Ala.- The head football coach at the University of Mississippi says he supports changing the state flag.
Speaking at SEC Media Days Freeze said that he appreciates the states heritage but added that “if something is creating ill will in any way towards someone, it’s difficult for me to support that.”
Freeze added, “I’m not a political figure, nor do I want to be. I’m sure our governor and our legislature will hear from the people.”
Last night, Ole Miss won an ESPY award for best upset. The No. 11 Rebels’ defeated No. 1 Alabama, 23-17 last fall.
