A Horn Lake man accused of having sex with a dog has been indicted by a grand jury.
DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton confirms that Tristan Pipkin, 26, faces up to a decade in prison if convicted for his alleged role in committing bestiality.
Pipkin was arrested by law enforcement in early February. Horn Lake police report seizing evidence that included footage of a sexual encounter between the suspect and the canine.
“We take all forms of abuse, including animal abuse, with the utmost seriousness,” Barton said, “Cruelty cases involving pets are disturbing at their core, but this one is particularly repulsive, and we will work tirelessly to ensure justice is served here.”

The dog was removed from Pipkin’s care. He is currently out on bond and is set to appear in court on March 20.
