A couple in Simpson County died as the result of a house fire early Monday morning.
The Simpson County Fire Department said that when the first of three crews arrived at the home on Rodney Sullivan Road, the structure was completely engulfed in flames and partially collapsed.
At the time of the fire, two people were inside of the home. The couple has reportedly been identified as Raymond and Martha Hamilton.
No cause of the fire has been released, and the investigation has been turned over to the State Fire Marshal and the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office who were not available for comment.
