HUTCHINSON, Kansas- The Bulldogs’ loss in the semifinals of the NJCAA tournament Thursday was a heartbreaking end to a miracle season. Hill College emerged victorious after a last-second shot from Holmes’ Jarvis Williams missed, sending the Rebels to the Final 4, and the Bulldogs back to Goodman, Mississippi, ending the season with a final record of 25-7. The lead changed several times in the last few minutes of the second half, and the Bulldogs actually had the lead with 27 seconds left until a final 3 pointer by the Rebels that went unanswered.
Holmes was lead in scoring by Daryl Macon who put up 25 points and added 5 assists.
