The Eudora Welty Library will be allowed to reopen the first floor on Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. after a second inspection by the State Fire Marshal.
The initial inspection cited nearly a dozen violations that the Library would be required to fix before they could reopen for business.
On Thursday the State Fire Marshal came back and found that many of those problems had been fixed. However, one of the man ones, the sprinkler system that needed to be updated, had still not been installed. That means that fire monitors must be on hand during operating hours.
The library will hire off duty firemen for the job.
