A Hinds County detainee was injured during an altercation Friday morning.
Sheriff Tyree Jones confirmed that the fight broke out between a pair of unidentified detainees at the Hinds County Detention Center.
One of the individuals was cut with a sharp object and transported to a local hospital. The other detainee was observed by medical staffers in the Raymond jail.
No additional details have been released by law enforcement at this time.
