JACKSON, Miss.- Malik Newman has made his college decision and is staying in state.
Callaway’s McDonald’s All-American confirms to the Clarion-Ledger he’s signing with Mississippi State.
Newman helped lead Callaway High School to four straight victories in the MHSAA Class 5A boys basketball championship. He is ranked as the top guard in the country for the class of 2015 by recruiting service 247 Sports and the 8th best player overall.
The high school basketball star picked Mississippi State over Ole Miss, Kansas and Kentucky. Newman’s father also played for the Bulldogs.
