We’re nine day way from Santa crawling down your chimney and there are plenty of things around the state to help you get into that Christmas spirit.
In Tylertown, go see one of the largest community events of it’s kind as you meander through the Holmes Water Park. It covers over 40 plus acres of Christmas lights. The cost to get in 5 bucks per car load.
If a Christmas train ride is exactly what your kids need, then Meridians Santa’s Christmas Factory is your best bet. The factory is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the evening and along with train rides, kids can look forward to music, decorations and a snow covered play area.
Finally, if you just can’t get enough Christmas lights. There’s the 18th annual Southern Fest which is really the grand daddy of them all. There at central park, you drive through their 116 acres and see more than 500-hundred thousand twinkling lights. The cost, only ten bucks a car.
