Starting Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Jackson residents can obtain free water at the following locations:
- Metro Center Mall
- Smith Wills Stadium
- Mississippi State Fairgrounds
- Hinds Community College
- Jackson Davis Road Park
- Cardozo Middle School
- Northwest Jackson Middle School
Non-potable water is available at every location, except the Mississippi State fairgrounds. Residents are limited to two cases of bottled water per family and are asked to bring their own containers for non-potable water.
Water distribution will continue during the same times and at the same locations on Friday.
“Within 48 hours of the Emergency Measures Declaration, seven state distribution sites will offer bottled water, bulk non-potable water, and hand sanitizer to those impacted by the recent water crisis,” MEMA Executive Director Stephen McCraney said. “Water is a basic human need, and life safety remains our priority.”
