HATTIESBURG, Miss.-Operation Christmas Child is encouraging everyone to pack a shoebox filled with toys, hygiene items and school supplies for children in need, living in poverty, affected by war, disease or disaster.
All shoeboxes will be collected this week, Nov. 17-24 and sent out to kids in over 130 countries.
Many local churches take to filling shoe boxes collectively each year, knowing their gift will reach a child somewhere in the world.
