Today was supposed the first day of action in the Oxford Regional in the NCAA Tournament, but Mississippi’s weather had other plans as the town has been hit by heavy rain.

Fans were expected to fill Swayze Field for Ole Miss’ matchup with St. Louis after the early matchup between Tennessee Tech and Missouri State, but all games have been postponed due to heavy rain.

In case you were wondering how much rain there actually was at Swayze Field, there are people attempting to swim on the field.

An updated schedule for the Oxford regional has been posted.

Ole Miss also released the following information regarding ticketing and seating.

“Friday’s Game 1 and Game 2 tickets will be used for the corresponding games on Saturday. Diamond and Dugout Club members will use their Day 2 tickets, labeled “CLUB02.”

All chairs must be cleared from the outfield this evening.”

As for the matchup, It won’t be an easy test for the Rebels, as they face a St. Louis pitching staff that is among the best in the nation, and Ole Miss will face their ace. Miller Hogan, who will take the hill, enters as the all-time record holder for strikeouts in a season at St. Louis with 129 on the year. Trying the chase Miller will be an Ole Miss offense that boasts 8 players batting above .300 on the season. The Rebels will send Ryan Rolison to the mound who has been rock solid for Ole Miss for most of the season.
