JACKSON, Miss.- The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Central Mississippi.
Forecasters have predicted temperatures in the mid 90’s throughout the area on Monday through 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. When considering humidity levels those temperatures could rise creating a danger for heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
Communities effected could include Leflore, Richland, West Carroll,Sunflower, Sharkey, Humphreys, Ashley, Bolivar, Franklin, East Carroll, Concordia, Catahoula, Madison, Washington, Issaquena,Warren Counties.
Officials remind those working outside to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks.
