HARRISON COUNTY, Miss.- After a long two week Christmas break parents arrived at the centers to drop kids off, only to be met with locked doors.
Two centers in Gulfport, the Lina Lyons Center and the Isiah Fredericks Center did not open their doors as scheduled today. When parents arrived there was a piece of paper on the door with the phone number to media relations.
Many parents in the Harrison County area are now wondering where they will take their children during the day, reports WLOX.
This issue comes after the Gulf Coast Community Action Agency announced that their funding would be cut for the Head Start program. This came about after they failed to report allegations of abuse.
