You might miss out on a few things this weekend in Hattiesburg. But that’s okay, because the “Busiest Weekend to be a Hattiesburger” has enough events from Friday to Saturday to fill anyone’s schedule.
Community leaders gathered Thursday at the Hattiesburg Zoo to highlight the aptly named weekend that will be full of athletic events, live music and comedy, art shows, crawfish boils, and seemingly everything in between.

“Every April, it seems like one weekend stands out – when spring weather finally shows up, and our community calendar is absolutely full,” Hattiesburg Mayor Toby Barker said. “This weekend is a celebration of what makes Hattiesburg special: live music, athletics, family fun, arts, and culture. There’s something for everyone, and we hope folks will get out and enjoy all our city has to offer.”

Some of the highlights include the Hub City’s annual Downtown Crawfish Jam, two shows from Grand Ole Opry-inducted comedian Henry Cho, and the Hattiesburg Zoo’s 75th anniversary on Saturday.
