CRYSTAL SPRINGS. Miss. — A man who took off running from police after a Tuesday traffic stop is in intensive care at a Jackson hospital.
Crystal Springs officers were attempting to arrest Jacory Alford after they discovered he was driving without a license. Investigators say he resisted, shoved an officer and took off running on foot. The officer that chased Alford eventually tased him. Alford fell and hit his head on a metal corner post of a carport. He was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Alford is also facing drug charges and resisting arrest.
