“You get out in your yard and you dig a hole for a mailbox or if you’re putting up a fence and driving posts in the ground, a lot of times, it’s right there on a right-of-way, and there’s some very vital utilities that are running through that area,” MS 811 Operations Manager Fred Johnson said. “It’s a free call, and it’s just as important for a homeowner to call as it is for a professional excavator.”
