A Gulfport woman has been arrested and charged with one count of felonious child abuse after numerous drugs were found in her infant’s system.
23-year-old Savannah Galle Reynolds was taken into custody on Friday, October 20 after an investigation revealed that she was 37 weeks pregnant when she gave birth to a child, who later died.
Lab results revealed THC, amphetamines, and fentanyl were present in the infant’s system upon birth.
Detectives were able to determine Reynolds took several pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine during and up to a week prior to giving birth.
Reynolds was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where she was held with a $250,000 bond.
