A Mississippi Gulf Coast inmate didn’t even make it two hours on the run before being caught Thursday morning.
Chase Lizana, 25, was at the Harrison County Detention Work Center in Gulfport when he escaped around 8:15 a.m. By 10:15 a.m., authorities had reported that Lizana was back in custody and with a new set of charges.
The Gulfport inmate was previously being held on multiple counts of burglary. His sentence is now expected to increase as he faces updated charges for the short outing in the free world.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office led the search for Lizana.
