A man from the Mississippi coast could spend two decades in jail after pleading guilty to child porn charges.

45-year-old Gregory Mclin, a former Gulfport resident who now resides in Alabama, pled guilty to one count of ‘knowingly possessing visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct’, according to U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst and Special Agent in Charge Jere T. Miles.

Mclin was arrested in November 2016 after agents executed a search warrant at his Gulfport home and seized his electronic devices. An IP address was traced back to Mclin’s home which led to the search.

After the search, the examination reports and other pieces of evidence were submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. On the seized devices, law enforcement found a computer file sharing program along with “visual depictions” of children under the age of 12 engaging in “sexually explicit content.”

Mclin will be sentenced in October and could face 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
