After a lengthy process of legalization, medical marijuana is finally expected to come to Mississippi by the end of this year and one company is beginning to set up shops across the state.
Green Health Docs, a doctor-owned and operated business from Maryland has opened an office in Jackson and Biloxi.
The organization is currently seeing patients one day each week to fulfill the pre-registration process of collecting medical documentation for patients to be able to receive a medical cannabis card.
As Mississippi’s medical marijuana program continues to progress, Green Health Docs plans to open clinics throughout the state to serve those who qualify for a medical marijuana card.
Roughly a dozen patients have been approved for a card according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.
