BILOXI, Miss. – A grand jury has ruled that three Mississippi police officers were justified in the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Wesley Sheppard.
The Biloxi man was holding a BB gun when he was killed by police officers back in March. Sheppard had shot out a window of a car of which had children inside and was refusing to drop his weapon.
It was only after he was killed that police realized he was, in-fact,carrying a BB gun.Witness agreed with police officers saying that the weapon did look like a rifle.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations was called in to investigate.
