After tornados and severe storms hit Mississippi over the weekend, Governor Bryant has declared a state of emergency.
The storms resulted in several injuries and one fatality, along with damages to 500 homes, over 200 roads & bridges and over 30 businesses statewide. The list of counties and cities included in the Governor’s declaration can be seen below.
In all, 5 tornados touched down in Mississippi over the weekend, and damage has been reported in over 30 counties, according to MEMA.

The declaration will allow additional state funds and resources to be delivered to the affected areas to assist with recovery efforts.
