Governor Phil Bryant met with the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency yesterday to discuss the recent flooding across Mississippi.
Governor Bryant stated that there’s about 500,000 acres under water in the Mississippi Delta and about 32 counties have been affected by the weather.
He said he’s discussing these issues with the Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi Levee Board, Mississippi Region American Red Cross, U.S. Department of Agriculture and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
He said they’re on top of this issue and will continue to be throughout the coming weeks and months to make sure they’re able to help residents of the Mississippi Delta and other affected areas.
