JACKSON, Miss.- Governor Phil Bryant has lifted the statewide burn ban in Mississippi.
It was issued on October 20, 2015 but has not been dismissed per the request of the Mississippi Forestry Commission.
However, county burn bans are still in effect when issued by county supervisors. They may restrict or prohibit outdoor burning.
The rain may still be lingering but if you see or need report a wildfire don’t hesitate to call 911 or the Mississippi Forestry Commission Central Dispatch region in your area. Those numbers are listed below:
