This week the Governor and Mississippi Poultry Association made their annual donation to the Salvation Army just before the holiday season kicks off.
Every year a large food donation is made to the organization to help their partners get through the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
This year 54,000 pounds of poultry was donated and 129,000 eggs were given to the Salvation Army.
