Governor Phil Bryant along with approximately 40 Governors from across the country are gathering in the nation’s capital this weekend to discuss critical topics such as the future of innovation in higher education, economic development and the future of work, the opioid crisis, and the future of food and agriculture.
In a post on social media, Governor Bryant said he was excited to attend the event saying that he would be sharing with others the good things happening in Mississippi.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is scheduled to address the nation’s governors at their annual Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C.
“More than 10,000 Australian companies sell to or operate in the United States and more than 300,000 American jobs are supported by exports to Australia,” said Prime Minister Turnball. “I look forward to further deepening and broadening the relationship between Australian and American states, particularly through innovation, infrastructure, education, and employment.”
