Golden Eagles soar into D1Baseball’s Top 5

The hottest baseball team in Mississippi still resides in Hattiesburg.

In the latest D1Baseball rankings, the Southern Miss Golden Eagles cracked the Top 5 for the first time in program history, coming in at No. 4.

Southern Miss (32-8, 16-2 Conference USA) extended their winning streak to 14 games after a weekend sweep of Rice – one that ended in a HUGE grand slam from Carson Paetow.
