Mississippi – In case you missed it, Girl Scout cookies have been on sale for more than a week.
This year marks the 100th year that the Girl Scouts of America have sold the delicious treats. For the celebration, the organization is introducing a new cookie, the S’mores Cookie. Natalie Bell is with the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi and said it’s the cleanest cookie they’ve ever produced.
“It’s made of all natural ingredients, nothing artificial,” said Bell.
As of Friday, Girl Scouts are only taking orders and won’t be able to deliver the cookies until February. According to Bell, that’s when you’ll start seeing the booths set up outside of convenient stores.
All proceeds made from the sale of cookies are said to help support the local counsel and girl scout camps.
Cookies are only sold January 14th through March 19th.
