Officials with the Pearl River Resort celebrated the reopening of the Lil’ Squirts Splash Pad at Geyser Falls during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.
The $89,000 spent for renovations to the splash pad includes new Tribal-inspired designs, such as numerous eight-point stars that represent the eight Tribal communities of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
“It’s great that the resort is taking steps of making progress to try to renew, renovate, and invigorate all the properties that we have. Whether that’s the water park here, the golf course, the casinos, hotels, every aspect of it, we’re trying to make all of our patrons have the ultimate experience when they come and visit us here at Pearl River Resort,” Chief Cyrus Ben said. “I hope that many more kids, your children, our children, all the children that come and visit Geyser Falls Water Theme Park have many, many fun days ahead.”
Children of all ages are invited to experience the splash pad’s new features, as well as see the other kid-friendly attractions at Geyser Falls such as the Creaky Leaky Water Factory and the Round About River.
Geyser Falls officially opened for the summer in May with updated hours of 11:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
