JACKSON, MISS– Mississippi’s eight universities are preparing for a tuition increase that would bring historically high fees to students.
For the first time in the state’s history, tuition on average across the state would be more than $7,000.
On average, each university is adding over $260 to fees, starting Fall 2016. By 2017, there could be another hike.
The college board must vote again before any of these hikes become permanent.
