JACKSON, Miss.–A simple stop for gas turned into a huge ordeal for one Jackson resident early this week.
The Jackson Police Department tells News Mississippi a woman pumped some gas into her car at the Circle D and that’s when things went south.
“Her card declined, and she informed the clerk that she was going to get some money from her sister or friend,” said Officer Colendula Green.
Evidently the clerk, Dayan Alharbi, hopped into his car and pursued the women for some reason.
Eventually Green said he cut her car off and jumped out of his vehicle with a pistol.
“He fired three to four rounds into the car while she had two children in there,” said Green.
The two children were under the age of 18-months, but luckily no one was injured.
Green also said the clerk apparently took items out of the woman’s car like an iPad to possibly try to get repayment.
Regardless he doesn’t have wi-fi access in the jail he’s currently sitting in now.
Alharbi was arrested for several felonies after police got on the scene, and it’s still unknown why he starting shooting into the car.
