KOSCIUSKO, Miss.- It’s the 29th annual production of a moving Easter play put on by the First United Methodist Church of Kosciusko.
The play, “His Last Days, the Passion Play” will begin showing this Thursday, Friday and Saturday before Easter Sunday at 8 p.m. each night.
Diane Grey one of the producers for the play says, “It is a live outdoor drama that portrays Jesus betrayal, trial and resurrection. The drama really takes on a life of its own.”
There is a lot of work that goes into putting on this play. They have approximately 64 cast members and 150 people in the crew that help put this event together.
There is no admission and everyone is welcome. A nursery is provided for all attendees. They’re expecting hundreds of people to show up to celebrate what Easter’s all about. In the past, they’ve had 500 to 600 people show up each night.
