TUPELO, Miss.–The coldest temperatures so far this fall are expected this weekend and now a freeze warning has been issued for most of the Delta and north Mississippi. A freeze watch is in effect for central and southern parts of the state.
Temps are expected below the freezing mark when you wake up Saturday. It could be as low as 30 in north Mississippi.
Wind chills north could be in the low to mid 20s.
Remember to check on your pets and elderly relatives or neighbors and make sure they have a way to keep warm. It’s also time to bring your plants in that you don’t want damaged.
